Overall, more than 4.3 million votes were cast, across more than 100 countries, to come up with a decisive list of the most-wanted tokens for the board game. Instead, these three new pieces will be added into the game. Both the thimble and the boot have been a part of the board game since 1935, while the wheelbarrow was added as a token in the 1950s.

Through the course of the voting process, the wheelbarrow saw competition pull away, the thimble's 81,000 votes offered little protection and the boot was, well, booted.
